Projects

Protein Structure Factory

At the Protein Structure Factory (PSF) - BMBF Leitprojekt Proteinstrukturfabrik -
I am responsible for the construction and characterisation of E. coli expression clones.

NGFN - German National Genome Research Network

Within the NGFN Protein Platform, my group is working on the structural analysis of human protein complexes.

Sonderforschungsbereich 633

I am taking part in the SFB 633 of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation). In this project we study E. coli proteins which are potentially involved in reactive athritis and related disorders (sub-project A4).

Nutrigenomics

Naturstoffe für die Prävention - Identifizierung von gesundheitsfördernden Naturstoffen für die Prävention von Krebs und Metabolischem System.
Within the BioProfil Nutrigenomik we are cooperating with AnalytiCon Discovery GmbH and Prof. Dr. Andreas F.H. Pfeiffer of the DIfE (German Institute of Human Nutrition) and the Charité. We are developing a new screening technology for discovering natural products protecting against the metabolic syndrome.

PhD theses
